The Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) 2024 program application period has officially begun. From now until 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on January 10, 2024, employers from not-for-profit organizations, the public sector, and private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees can apply for funding to hire young Canadians next summer.
CSJ provides wage subsidies to employers to create quality summer work experiences for youth aged 15 to 30. The CSJ program is a fantastic opportunity for both young people and employers. Through participation in CSJ, employers will be helping young people in their community develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed in the workplace, while also meeting the needs of the organization.
How to apply:
If an employer is interested in applying for funding, they can submit an application via the Grants and Contributions Online Services (GCOS) portal. Creating a GCOS account is a one-time process that allows employers to apply for various funding opportunities with Employment and Social Development Canada in a secure web environment. Once the GCOS account has been created, they can submit Their CSJ application.
For additional information on how to fill out an application, eligibility requirements and assessment criteria, organizations can refer to the CSJ 2024 applicant guide.
Service Canada will inform organizations of the status of their application starting in April 2024 and continuing into the summer months.
